Fanderson was saddened to hear of the death of American actor and dialect coach Robert Easton. Known to Gerry Anderson fans as the much-loved voices of Lt. George 'Phones' Sheridan and Agent X20 in Stingray, Easton was also a consummate phoneticist. He coached many Hollywood stars from Robin Williams to Robert Duvall, helping them to master challenging accents and dialects, as well as improving the delivery of prominent non-celebrities such as lawyers.
He died in his home in Los Angeles at the age of 81 last week, and will be greatly missed.
An obituary will appear in the next issue of FAB magazine. In the meantime, you can read one here.
