Gerry Anderson today confirmed to Fanderson that he has finalised a deal to make a new series of Thunderbirds.
Details at this early stage are thin on the ground, with Gerry revealing that he has signed a non-disclosure agreement for the time being. Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live this afternoon he said:
"I don't want to sound conceited, but because I'm going to make it...I'm confident that it will be a smash hit!"

The announcement caps a frenetic couple of days for Gerry, who was today busy promoting the launch of a prestigious set of Royal Mail stamps commemorating his work in film and television. The launch received widespread media coverage across the day, culminating in a pre-recorded five minute slot on the BBC's The One Show, which was filmed the previous day. As well as giving a quick summary of his career, the sequence featured a contribution from voice artist David Graham (the voice of Parker), behind-the-scenes clips from the making of Thunderbirds and a full-size working replica of FAB1.
Gerry also managed to squeeze in a signing session at The Stamp Centre in central London, where a range of exclusive first day covers complementing the stamps were also launched.
These are certainly exciting times to be a fan!
