Gerry Anderson fans may be interested to learn that they can now follow Fanderson on Twitter. The club is currently trialling use of the social networking and micro-blogging website, which has experienced meteoric growth since its launch back in 2006.
What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free micro-blogging website that allows users to update other users on what they're doing in the form of posts (otherwise known as 'Tweets') that are up to 140 characters in length. It also allows you to directly message other users. Twitter can be accessed from computers, mobile internet devices such as iPhones and Blackberries, and via standard mobile phone text messaging.

How Fanderson will use Twitter
How the club uses Twitter from now on largely depends on whether the service proves popular with fans.
