The legendary Stingray - Escape From Aquatraz strip

The third volume of Reynolds & Hearn's stunning collection of strip stories from Gerry Anderson's classic 'TV Century 21' comic was published on November 30th. Celebrating some of the most remarkable, and collectable, science fiction comics ever created, this latest collection features artwork by such comics greats as Frank Bellamy, Ron Embleton, Mike Noble and Ron Turner, together with the legendary 'Dan Dare' artist Frank Hampson.

The featured 'Stingray' strip, 'Escape from Aquatraz', is an epic-length story with a fully deserved reputation as the most memorable 'Stingray' strip ever published and a bona fide fan favourite for over 40 years. It is joined in this volume by 10 more classic 'TV21' strips in which the crew of Fireball XL5 are trapped by alien snowmen on planet Uraniture, International Rescue race to prevent a swarm of exploding lobsters from turning the population of America into savage beast-men, Captain Scarlet struggles to stop a killer plant from taking root on Earth, and the crew of Zero X become the prisoners of the WaxWorld. The book also includes a bonus 'UFO' strip from 'Countdown', the 1970s successor to 'TV21'. Each strip story has been meticulously restored, with many pages reproduced direct from the original artwork.

With a cover price of £14.99, 'Century 21 Volume 3: Escape from Aquatraz' is available now in paperback from all good booksellers and online from Amazon or direct from the publishers at Reynolds & Hearn. A limited hardback edition will be published in February 2010 and a fourth volume 'Above and Beyond' will follow in both hardback and paperback in April.
