Bob Bell Dies

Please note: Bob's funeral will take place at 1pm and not 10am as previously stated.

Bob Bell, Art Director on many of the classic Gerry Anderson productions, died in hospital after a prolonged illness on the afternoon of Saturday 6th June 2009.

Bob joined AP Films in 1958 assisting Art Director Reg Hill on Torchy The Battery Boy. He soon showed his talents and was promoted to Art Director when production began on Fireball XL5 and remained in this role right through to The Protectors in 1973. He returned to Gerry Anderson productions as Associate Producer on Terrahawks and then Dick Spanner.

Bob's funeral will be at 1pm on Wednesday 17th June at Amersham Crematorium and afterwards at The Hit Or Miss, Penn Street, Amersham. His family have asked for flowers not be sent but donations will be gratefully received for the Alzheimers Society.
