Default UFO Film Producers Issue Announcement

The producers of the UFO feature film project have issued a brief statement on their official website.

The message from Avi Haas and Matthew Gratzner thanks fans for their unstinting interest in the project and expresses the aim of bringing the film to release in summer 2013. The majority of creative development has now been completed.

'This is a BIG film and it takes time to prepare a project of this magnitude,' reads the joint message. 'Like you we are huge fans of the original series and want to do it justice.'

The message will be welcomed by fans who have expressed dismay in recent months due to the lack of concrete news on the project. As always, Fanderson will bring you more details as and when they develop.

A design for the first official movie poster can also be found on the site in the gallery section.

You can read the message in full here.

Although, looked at objectively, this 'announcement' says nothing new, and is a re-worded version of every other statement they've put out.

Just thought I'd mention that

Well, what's another year!

I've just posted the comments onto New deal's Facebook page and shall, as is to be expected, keep A VERY CLOSE EYE on developments... I have also spoken to ITV Global [V Important person] and they too continue to confirm New Deals position. I believe that the desire is there...it's the commercial aspect that will decide the fate of this project.

i really do hope that UFO is not let down, and the film will be the tribute the series so rightly deserves,
secretly i hope that ufo sound crops up somewhere in the film

Well its nice to feel that optimism has paid off. Anyone fancy a covert mission into their art department?

What i do really appreciate is that they've given us this message, its something i rarely see unless prompted in an interview situation and in a small way it shows they are taking the fans on board.
