Default National Space Centre: BritSciFi 2013

The National Space Centre in Leicester has confirmed that they will do a 3rd BritSciFi event!

For those of you who haven't been to the last 2 events or who have never heard of BritSciFi it’s a special event dedicated to the science fiction TV shows and movies made by the British.

Gerry Anderson Shows, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Tomorrow People, etc…

Fanderson guests are still to be confirmed but there will be an ‘Anderson Alley’, feachering models, puppets and a full size recreation of Moonbase Alpha Command Centre.

The event is on 9th March & 10th March so keep your diaries free. I will let you know if there is anymore news.

I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that due to work commitments and filming schedules Zienia Merton has had to cancel her visit.

The good news is that Pam Ross and Phil Ford will be attending.

If anyone gets to meet Phil, would you ask him whatever happened to the proposed Lightspeed TV series.

AND Judy Preece (Terrahahawks), Richard Gregory (Terrahawks, Dick Spanner, Space Precinct) and Mark Woollard (Terrahawks, Dick Spanner, Space Precinct, New Captain Scarlet) will be there on the Saturday too.

And I will be too - on both days, if anyone wants to say "hi"

Even better news!! Fanderson will have a table at the event.Come along and meet some of the committee. A certain amount of sales stock will be available for members to buy (cash sales only) including many of our CDs, DVDs and a selection of patches. please make sure you have your membership number to hand.
Non-members have the opportunity to find out about the club, join up on the day (£29.00 for a full year's subscription) and walk away with their membership introduction pack and first FAB magazine.
We will also have a small selection of sell through books for sale to the general public.

see you there.

Stephen

By arrangement with Air Terrainean and Duke Dexter, signed copies of the Haynes Thunderbirds manual and the latest issue (and back issues !) of Andersonic should also be available to space centre visitors.

I can't help thinking Jamies going to have quite a day. I reckon just appreciative fans going up to him paying tribute to his dad alone will be enough to keep him busy. It looks to me like a good time will be had by everyone. I have a relative who lives nearby who has offered to put me up, so if I can arrange my work accordingly, this may be a rare chance for me to attend something and finally meet some of you in person. It's well overdue, but such is the curse of the self employed. Time off is generally what other people have. But fingers are crossed.
