Default UFO/Thunderbirds fanfiction

I have a website dedicated to UFO and Thunderbirds work, including my art work. I have started writing a series of short 'vignettes' that concern one hour only in the life of a character. I'd like to open it up to any one who wants to do a short piece of UFO or Thunderbirds writig, but doesn't fancy writing a full story.
Only one hour, no longer, but it can be action-packed, or quiet and contemplative, part of an episode, events after an episode etc.
Only stipulations;
Absolutely no sex/slash/adult rated
No parodies - Those are MY domain!!!
No more than 1000 words MAX
and if I don't like it ( unlikely) I have the right to refuse.
I can even put any illustrations in if you provide them!
Contact me if you are interested!
LtCdr - My first story (One Hour) will be going up tonight... hopefully!

My latest effort, concerning Keith Ford, is a bit too long - 29,700 words too long so far!

Sounds good ! Serious though? Do you put your stuff out on Fanfiction? I'm always keen to read work by other authors! And Denise Felt has a website that showcases work by other writers, artists, etc. There are very few UFO writers out there - loads of Thunderbirds ones - but not many of us UFO freaks! If you've got work available I'd love to read it!

Still some way to go yet with that story but I have previously novelised 'Trapped in the Sky' and written a Captain Scarlet Novella, which was published by Fanderson in the early 1990s

Thanks Chrisof - I have had the most appalling abuse from some Thunderbirds fans regarding some of my work, to the extent that I no longer feel able to come to the Convention because the abuse has been so unpleasant from some people who will be there. I wrote Last Flight Home very quickly ( and I must admit I cried when I was writing it!) and I am rather pleased with it. I will, however, despite some people's objections, continue with my Alan/Lightcudder series ...... mainly to piss them off!
Glad you liked the story! - If you like UFO stories as well then you need to check out Denise Felt's site - -in fact if you like UFO check her site as it brings together loads of different UFO sites inc. art, and quotes etc.

I must confess i usually stay away from fan fiction, it can get a bit too personal at times and some of the ones ive seen out there have been downright disturbing. Though i'm sure theres some jems i've yet to discover.

Just read getting home as well, I quite like it as it does fit quite well in with the Virgils character and acts like a nice minis-ode to the series.

Id prefer to believe they passed the torch as opposed to abandoning the base but Last Flight home really was a thought provoking read.

I really hope the other fans don't put you off coming to the con, i wouldnt let it bother you, ive got several hate comments on my youtube, when i check out their channel and all i see is a bunch of people on a mobile getting happy slapped i score a moral victory.

Fan fiction can really suck at times - especially the epic stories about Alan getting malaria, or Alan getting meningitis, or Alan getting some deadly disease..... oh yes, and Alan getting ill!! that's why I started writing gentle (well I like tothink of them as gentle) parodies . But there are people out there who think that Alan is actually part of their family. and don't like it when other fans don't feel the same way. I was really looking forward to the con. but won't be coming now. Besides... I'm more of an Ed Straker fan... he really did exist!! (only joking!)

You're going to let the opinions of a minority stop you from doing something that YOU want to do? What happened to International Rescue's motto - Never give up at any cost? If they don't like you being there, that's their problem, not yours.

Yes, I agree, but it really wouldn't be fun any more. Considering the things that have been sent to me I really, really don't want to meet any of these people . Ever. And yes, I am wimping out, but... there are better things to do with m y time than spend it running from a bunch of fanatics! If they can write the things they have written, I certainly don't want to meet them face to face! I'l carry on with my writing and drawing, (having sold a picture this week!) and hope you all have a great time at the con.
