Network have changed the schedule and instead of all 6 volumes being available by the end of April they've adjusted it to the end of May. Hopefully that extra month will be to let them complete some kind of disc that includes the bonus features

Yay - volume 1 has arrived. After the de-graining that UFO received its nice to see that from first browse R&H appear to be a return to form for Network as this looks as good as The Persuaders.
Having restored or recreated the original first broadcast opening titles I think it's a mistake for them to be included on the opening episode as new viewers will basically be given the entire plot on the credits. At £2.50 an episode this is a great disc and I hope its all topped off with a dvd at the end with the previous bonus features. Nice one Network |

5 episodes have no negatives available and the first episode is one of them. I expect this explains the poor quality sound that affects much of it. The opening and closing titles audio clearly not from the same inter positive as they are as good quality as they should be.
The audio on episode 1 really is quite bad in places |

But What A Sweet Little Room has much better audio quality but it's quite a nasty little episode in the world of R&H.
The method used by the main villain to kill off his victims is very nasty and the pre credits sequence for this one episode dwells a little too long on the slow suffocation and general suffering of the victim. As ever, the post dubbing is very annoying and seems to have happened because one scene was filmed with the victims surname pronounced incorrectly while the rest of the scenes pronounced it differently. Why they didn't post dub the one scene rather than every other one is a mystery. Good episode though. |
