Default Captain Scarlet 1967 - The Scripts

Originally posted on Facebook

Coming September 2017 to Chris Bishop's Spectrum HQ, Captain Scarlet 1967 - The Scripts by Andrew Hsieh!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s puppet series, there will be 5 full script adaptations of the Century 21 mini albums by Angus P. Allan and Richard O'Neill. These will be released on the week of Captain Scarlet Day (29 September 1967) from:

Monday (25th) - “Introducing Captain Scarlet”
Tuesday (26th) - “Goliath” (fka "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons")
Wednesday (27th) - “Concert Complexity” (fka "Captain Scarlet is Indestructible")
Thursday (28th) - “Probe Omega” (fka "Captain Scarlet of Spectrum")
Friday (29th) - “Spectrum is Maroon” (fka "Captain Scarlet versus Captain Black")

It was extremely disappointing - for most fans - when the Thunderbirds 1965 team had announced that they were not going to produce the CS67 mini albums into full episodes. Rather than leaving them to gather dust for another 50 years, the scripts will give fans the opportunity to read and visualise what would have appeared on our TV screens, just like the 3 brand new TB65 episodes.

Please note that the script cover artworks are not final (excluding “Introducing Captain Scarlet”).

More soon!

I'm sure the TB65 team would jump at the chance to do the same for Captain Scarlet if they got properly paid for their time and effort.
So let's not give up all hope.
Perhaps once ITV see the impact made by the TB65 episodes they might wake up to the value of the product they own instead of letting it sit in the vault doing nothing ( something they're very good at)
