Lightbulb Decent Thunderbirds t-shirts/clothing?

Hi - am new here. Cannot find any decent quality t-shirts (or any clothing for that matter) featuring Thunderbirds, Joe 90 etc. Am thinking of producing some myself! Would anyone be interested in buying? What would popular designs include - eg vehicles or characters? Let me know what people like/would buy and I will try to make it happen. Rgds, MWP

Something that incorporates the sash in a non cheesy way. Or something dark with the emblem either on the left chest or as shoulder patches

Mr.Park...
Welcome aboard our good ship lilliput...my good friend Martin Townley sent me this carlton approved Thunderbirds t-shirt copyrighted 2000. It's all black with large lettered series logo big enough to fit in the Earthbound Four IR craft within each ample-space letter...also ten or so years ago I took in quite a number of colour AnderStills and 2066,269 TV21 s for their Mike Trim/Derek Meddings content and had them reproduced on white blank shirts via a heat transfer process.
This was at a large Toronto copy-printing establishment with the t-shirt operation at the back of the location. Because I showed up there a few times late 90s,early 00s I got a set rate of $17 per shirt. Perhaps you can see if there exists such operations like this in business in your area...time to DIY, and advertise the Future!
Also took a number of those Club-produced sew-on patches and had them stitched on mundane baseball caps, then adorned them round the sides with enamel, metal, plastic pins, buttons that sort of thing.....all in theme...Like a range of series adornments around the blue hat bearing in the front the TV Century 21 cover logo...more promotion that could bring a smile nowadays to those at Granada Ventures...plus I have a few older-issue Scarlet shirts, one of a large-o character head shot of Him looking quite dour, with enlargement grain quite noticeable in stipple regards.Plus as many Fanderson and US-SPACE:1999Con shows event shirts I could pack away for the flight home.....
Hear from you soon....wonder why Fanderson Sales has steered clear from a line of Centurywear....like t-shirts,hats,wrist-headbands.....necklaces....
Good first thread,
Doug

Default Decent Thunderbirds t-shirts/clothing?

Thanks guys for the very helpful responses. I am speaking with some people in the "biz" and will update as and when. Probably start small - but will focus on high quality, sustainably-produced cotton, retro look maybe? Stay tuned please.

Default Gerry Anderson T-Shirts

Hi Guys,

Can I be a pain and make the point that any t-shirts produced would have to be considered an official licensing item with ITV, and a license will need to be obtained.

Recently I was in discussion with a Japanese company to produce a new set of Barry Gray CD's for the Japanese market. Everything had been agreed, and then the company approached ITV for a license.

The price for a license was a minimum five figure sum!!!

Ouch!! Totally cost prohibitive, and instant end of project.

Food for thought people, before you commit to anything.

Ralph.

Default Clothes

Thanks - you are quite right and any merch must be officially licensed. Discussions ongoing...

Hi this sounds like a great idea. I think there could be a great potential market for decent T-shirts based on the Anderson shows. I may be able to help with advice about licensing and will send you a pm.
