British Scifi Weekend 10th/11th March 2012

Hoping to attend this event probably on the Sunday - with the family in tow.

I have been here before - quite easy to get to off the M1 and plenty of parking on site.

Anyone else thinking of going?

Yes I've been a couple of times, was there last year when Gerry was a guest. Often consider displaying my stuff there but am put off by the fact that they don't seem to have any proper lighting in the place. They have subdued lighting to create mood and highlight the set displays and as a result display tables put up for special events like this are often in the dark areas - I may take a torch with me this year!!

I see Gerry, Shane Rimmer, Matt Zimmerman and David Graham are appearing on Sunday.

In addition they have Matt Irvine whose stuff I saw quite a few years ago - mostly Blakes 7 and a bit of Dr Who (Tom Baker) era - I think Saw ORAC and the Liberator.

Worth a day out definitely. Hope Gerry is ok to appear.

Pleased to report Gerry is keen to appear at this event and more than "up for it" and, dare I say it, would find it something of a tonic to find himself among a throng of friends and smiling faces ! So, as Leslie Crowther used to say "Come On Down !!!"
