Those Chillian Miners need The Mole

Dont know if i put this in the right section but...

I realy think those Chillian Miners need an invention like The Mole. In fact is this chillian disaster anything like the real life disaster that happend to inspire Gerry Anderson to Create Thunderbirds.

Yes they ought to send for International Rescue - The Mole would get them out in no time. :)
So those trapped miners would be up well before Christmas.

There actually IS a real IR, and why they haven't been called is beyond me, they have more advanced equipment than the Chillian's I would imagine.

You must be referring to the IRC (http://www.intrescue.org/). Well, maybe they've been rather busy lately what with Pakistani floods, Chinese landslides, Russian wildfires & the volcano that erupted (in Indonesia/Malaysia, i think). Although i don't remember hearing about appeals for international aid being made for the last two disasters.
As for the Chilean miners, i saw a news report which said the reason it would take so long to rescue them was because of the incredibly hard rock the mining company/government are drilling through. Now, IIRC, The Mole also had to make a diversion while drilling once because of extremely hard rock, (I forget which episode it was.) So it could happen even to IR!
