Other episodes such as Expect The Unexpected 1 & 2 were written by Gerry Anderson & The Midas Touch was written by Trevor Lansdown & Tony Barwick. Leo Pardstein was a pseudonym for Donald James; all the others are Tony Barwick. I wonder why this was decided on to use pseudonyms.

I do believe it was just Tony Barwick mucking about! It was the same for names like Stew Dapples, Chick King, And Dan Druff! I think the humour in Terrahawks is great. I can understand why people might not like the series but I find it funny. It's possible for people who aren't usually Gerry Anderson fans (such as my brother) to enjoy it!

He must have had a great sense of humour, j3pfilms. There's some great ones in that list! I thought that Stew Dapples name was brilliant - and a great character too! I also like the series for its humour (Zelda and her family are a scream!)

I remember it took me ages to work out that Stew Dapples was a pun! One day it just came to me! Goodness me, thick or what?!

The only 'Stein' I never really got was Cubby Dreistein and I also always wondered if Hudson's alias, FW Runkin, was a humourous take on something?

I do apologize if I'm missing something obvious!

Terrahawks has some terrific humour and some great lines in it. Very underrated I feel!

Was thinking of posting something like this myself - partly because some of the puns are so obscure, I haven't a clue if they mean anything or not !

Examples -

A Christmas Miracle - Kate Noweestein
My Kingdom For A Zeaf - Otto Von Lowstein
Two For The Price Of One - Kay Itstein

Any ideas ?

Kay Itstein is Kate Stein I believe. I've got no idea about the other two. I also don't get Cubby Dreistein. I'm sure Tony B had his weird and wonderful reasons!

I also don't get Cubby Dreistein. I'm sure Tony B had his weird and wonderful reasons!I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the James Bond film producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, i3p.:)

Yes, i was thinking that not too long ago. But what's Dreistein then?

Yes, i was thinking that not too long ago. But what's Dreistein then?No idea on that part unless it's something to do with "the cupboard was bare" - just a thought.

I ended up sitting down and coming up with a few Terrahawks-style 'pun names' for an unrelated project a few years ago - it's harder than it looks to manage good ones! I think you've only got to look at the list at the top of the thread to see that... my favourite that I came up with was Cliff Hangerstein, which I was surprised they hadn't used... ;)

I can't right now... it was a long time ago, and I don't have any of the files. :(

That's a pity. However I like a lot of the original pseudonyms for the writers Donald James and Tony Barwick listed at the beginning of the thread.:)
