A Prequel to Space 1999?

[Silent Bob]

I was watching, for the first time in many years, the DVD of The Medusa Touch starring Richard Burton.
During a news report on a flight to the moon, they show a photo of three astronauts wearing Moonbase Alpha spacesuits. The year is 1978 and the mission is Achilles 6, which they say will establish man's first permenant base on the Moon.
If you haven't seen the film check it out, if only for the great special effects and model work from Brian Johnson, Nick Allder and Martin Bower.

If only we could find and post images of the SPACE:1999 Spacesuits in this film.

Check it out sometime, it is a very interesting film. I think one of the main reasons it doesn't get shown much anymore, is because one sequence features a Boeing 747 being flown into a skyscraper.
There used to be photos from this sequence on Martin Bowers website, but they have been removed also.
I will try and get a screen grab of the astronauts tonight.

I can see why they do not use that poster anymore. However, the film sounds extremely interesting...especiialy with the Moon Astronauts in SPACE:1999 Spacesuits.
