A couple of things about this second season.
Why was The Hood not featured and at least two of the episodes show a copyright date of MCMLXIV (1964) instead of MCMLXVI (1966). I wonder why this was.
Also why was David Holliday replaced by Jeremy Wilkin for the voice of Virgil Tracy?
It's a pity that the plug was pulled after only six episodes....:(

A second Season ? I allways thinking there was only one season of 32 episodes. hwat are the names of these 66's episodes ?

doctor222 - season two begins from Atlantic Inferno, and only lasts for six episodes - you'll notice changes to the sets, vehicles and puppets that were necessary for the simultaneous filming of Thunderbirds Are Go.
Hi Picasso61 - It's possible that as the Hood was written into Thunderbirds Are Go it's felt he wasn't needed (or perhaps available?) for the series. I also think that the second season was a little more 'mature' in terms of story content and maybe it was felt The Hood didn't fit in well anymore?
As for the copyright date - if you're going by the Carlton DVD's then forget it. When they 're-mastered' Thunderbirds around 10 years ago they botched it considerably with the first season title card on some of the second season episodes (other problems include timing issues with the music, freeze frames in the place of black-outs and when Thunderbirds 5 is on the screen and of course those dreadful 'new & improved' sound effects).
When filming completed on Security Hazard, David Holliday went back to live in America and was therefore unavailable to reprise his role of Virgil in the second season, it's a shame as I think his voice was far superior!

I would guess that after having his foot crushed, falling out of a Zero-X and then been blown out of the sky by FAB 1, the Hood decided to hang up his disguises and retire!

Touché, Silent Bob.
Unless, like me, you're one of those who do believe that The Hood comes back as Black Phantom in Thunderbird 6!

I'm not a big fan of the thunderbirds, so i've never really noticed that The Hood deseaperd of the serie. Thanks for the information. I've salo never noticed the change of voice for Virgil, cause I watch it in French.

Achilles Messenger - maybe The Hood could've popped up in Alias Mr. Hackenbacker as one of the kidnappers on Skythrust. If that had been the case it would've been interesting to see if a new Hood puppet would have looked had they decided to sculpt a new one.:)
Re the copyright date - yes I have the Carlton set with The Thunderbirds Companion. The 1964 date looks incongruous with this second season of programmes. I believe this happens on at least two of the six episodes.
Thanks also for the info on David Holliday - I often wondered why Jeremy Wilkin replaced him for the 1966 series. I too think his voice was better - to me it changed the character of Virgil.

Yes Virgil changed too drastically for the second series, he had a new voice, darker and longer hair, and his new face didn't match very well with the original. I know us fans can be picky, but when I was a boy Virgil was my favourite Tracy brother and even then I really disliked the changes. Virgil's Thunderbird 6 head was a little better.
If I remember correctly, it's only Atlantic inferno on the Carlton DVD's that retains all correct Season 2 title cards. The subsequent episodes tend to mix 'n' match! Someone at Carlton was obviously very sloppy with their work!

Hi Achilles Messenger - I've had a quick look on at the start of all six episodes and the ones showing 1964 as copyright date are Path Of Destruction, Lord Parker's 'Oliday & Ricochet. The other three are correct. Carlton should've paid more attention to detail.

At least that version got more correct than the Carlton box set, doctor222.
