Now the good doctor's been brought up, how about hearing what the forum members think of the new doctor and new lower budget show. Personally I think it's improved a hell of a lot. In my opinion it was great before, and now it's even better. I like the humor. I think Mat Smith is by far the best doctor so far, and it's the same as the show. I thought David Tenant was great, but I think Mat Smith is better. His youth has brought something to the role that wasn't there before, and his sort of scatty absent mindedness is a joy to watch too. His first series has been my favourite series so far. Of course I expect people to disagree, that's what it's all about, but I'd love to see a thread just dedicated to forum members opinion of M.S's first series.

In all honesty I am enjoying the new series and the new Doctor, there has been a few 'clunky' bits in some episodes, and some of the episodes lacked 'sparkle', but overall the series is improving and get better. Lets hope that it continues to do so for the remainder of this series.

I have to admit I watched practically every episode of Dr Who since it started... yes. live in black and white and with each new Doctor I thought it had improved ... I was SO disappointed with the first Matt Smith episode though. I hated him! It semed to me to be clunky and farcical... and I haven't watched it since ( I haven't watched TV since then either!... apart from a couple of times when I was babysitting!)_I prefer to watch DVDs on my laptop...although my Thunderbirds ones won't play! Fortunately the UFO ones look great on it!
I need to buy the CAptain Scarlet series!

I've seen most of the new Matt Smith DWs but the Dalek WW2 episode was a big turn off. Think it has got in its stride now and new assistant great as well.

Like to see more episodes not set on Earth (oh Wales again) and more two parters and less screwdriver action. Bring back the 1970s gravel pit. Its a grower
