Oink & Zoony

I often wonder why Oink the seal was only seen in a few episodes of Stingray.
He became Marina's pet yet he was only seen in the early episodes and disappeared without any explanation.
On the other hand Doctor Venus's pet Zoony was seen in many of the Fireball XL5 episodes.
I was never a great fan of Zoony but I did like his various scenes with Robert getting him all steamed up!

I never really took to Oink, but Zoony was quite different - even though he was often highly irritating (and a convenient plot device) somehow he was quite endearing. As has been said already his running gag with Robert was always funny as was his getting Zero so exasperated.

Spot on with Zil - goodness knows why Gerry revisited the pet concept so late on, but it was truly appalling - but then the kids of Space Precinct were pretty much on the same level I always thought.

I never liked Zooney. Yes, the scenes with Robert were cute...but his voice really grated on me. Like finger nails on a blackboard. Not to mention, he was always causing trouble, you would figure Venus would put him in a kennel or something when they went on a mission.

I think Oink should've stayed in longer than he did. After all he did save the Stingray crew from being blown up in the Sea Of Oil episode.
