Rubbish.
There might well be a picture of the sleeve or something. Or it might be a bootleg already circulating purporting to be the UFO CD.
But as Stephen Brown has stated that the CD is still being finalised, I think it's unlikely if not impossible that this CD "is already on the net", as you claim.
And to suggest it has come from within Fanderson is - I am quite sure - absolute nonsense.

Well i can confirm that all the other Fanderson Releases are on the same site, and are all hosted on the likes of sendspace, most have covers and booklets
Dont knock me on this The View (Band) had their Album on a torrent site before it was released, and it was one of their m8`s who `shared` it
Donald
Example from the site:
Space: 1999 Year 2 (Fanderson) - Derek Wadsworth
2 Discs, 128k, 44 tracks, 145 min
Stingray (1963) Barry Gray
Disc 1
Disc 2
Fanderson, 320k, 52 Tracks, 159 Min.
UFO - Fanderson
256k, 52 tracks, 155min.
UFO Volume 2 (sequel to the Fanderson 2CD set)
Looking at 42 tracks: Track 2, UFO FX-2 Forrest Attack

I daresay previous releases might well be 'on the net' - including those which claim to be 'official'; it seems to be the way of the world and not easily preventable.
But that's different to saying that the forthcoming UFO CD is already on the web, because I would think that's impossible. Seeing as how you've just suggested that someone 'high up' in Fanderson is leaking these things, you might want to edit your message because I for one am quite sure you are making ludicrous (and rather dangerous) claims.

I believe the site you are on about has the UFO Fanderson 2 disc set, a Japanese bootleg disc of UFO and a third volume of UFO music (source unknown). The new UFO disc is definately NOT on the site mentioned above. But its only a matter of time. I would not like to think that anyone in Fanderson would 'leak' the disc like that.

Well, looking at your 'list', I can see mention of a UFO - Volume 2 ('sequel to the Fanderson 2CD set').
The forthcoming CD isn't even called Volume 2!!
Obviously some sort of con-trick or bootleg. You can fool some of the people all of the time, etc.....

I stand corrected,it would appear that the Volume 2 Cover/s and Disc are indeed a fake.
But it is still sad to see ALL the other Fanderson Releases, posted on the internet, and there looks like no end to the demand for people requesting reposts
it will be only a matter of time before UFO cd ends up in the same place as the others.
as an owner of the original Fanderson UFO cd set, this is not the first time i have seen the UFO cd files posted on the internet complete with cover/booklet (although i wonder how the printed booklet would fit in a cd case as the proper one was a bit tight)

There is no way this is the new Fanderson UFO CD, as I've not quite finished designing it yet!
If you catch anyone, or know of anyone pirating any Club merchandise, it's your duty to smack them across the face with a slipper as Moz would say!

Heh, I prefer to cut 'em down..."withhh... a Herring!"[Cue dramatic DeWolf music there]
Surely someone out there knows who is doing this? It makes my blood boil that my hard earnt monies which I freely give to Fanderson, for quality CDs, is being diluted by some scumbag. We all know that any "profits" made are ploughed back into the work and time that the next release will entail. I'd cut off his [assuming its a "he"] nadegers off...
I know I'm trying to sell some rare Anderson stuff, but I'd draw a very thick line before I'd even think of contemplating selling ANY Fanderson CDs on Ebay.
BTW...Anyone interested in the old 331/3 Fanderson records? [This is a serious offer actually!]:)

Just looking at the file sizes here, 320k for 159 minuites of music, that would barely hold a 1 minuite mp3, are you sure these arent just lures for viruses?

Unfortunately the files on that site are Full Lossless Audio with high resolution scans of the booklets and inserts. i think when he wrote 320k, he meant 320kps. As there are two sets of files, one is mp3, the other is FLAC.
These uploaders are almost as bad as the ones that make copies to sell.

To be honest, I don't see any point at all in going on about this. You know the phrase 'The oxygen of publicity....'?
Filesharing, bootlegs (and all the rest of it) are a fact and no amount of talking about it will make it go away, unfortunately.

Well, i'm a member here, the Eagletransporter forum and the site concerned and i'll freely admit i've downloaded the UFO bootleg cd from there 'cos i'm an avid Barry Gray fan and i'm after as much of his music as i can get------------- but i wouldn't upload or download my Fanderson etc cds ( as a long time Fanderson member i've bought them all! ) and like everyone else, i know it can starve the club of funds ----------------but with bootlegs it's a tough call,we know we shouldn't download really, but how else are you to get rare tracks?

Is it just a coincidence that all your posts on said forum have been deleted? The last one just yesterday! :)
Just because you can download them, doesn't mean you should!

You know, that "UFO Vol. 2" CD set has been sold at Sci-Fi cons in the USA for years. It is NOT a copy of the Fanderson release, nor is it a copy of the Japanese UFO CD. And of course, it is not a licensed product either. However, it DOES contain UFO music not on the Fanderson release. I'm assuming that it is sourced from copies of Barry Gray's personal tapes (and some of the tracks I think are simply taken from MP3 files on my "UFO Series Home Page", http://www.ufoseries.com/music/)

Silent Bob,
I've been deleting the posts when they're not relevent anymore and these were related to other non-official releases.
As i said, i wouldn't upload /download Fanderson material, but i do take you point about downloading in general.

By the way, welcome to the forum. :)

Changing the subject slightly, has anybody actually heard the Japanese re-recording of UFO?
I have heard the small sound clip on the UFO website and it sounded pretty faithful to the original. I just wondered what the impressions of those who have been either lucky or unlucky enough to hear it
Thanks

I have been able to listen to most of the album. Alot of the cues are very short, average time is 1-2 minutes, the longest track is only 4 minutes.
The last 10 or so tracks are various sound effects. There are also one or two unused pieces of music on the album. Interesting but not a patch on th Fanderson 2 disc soundtrack.

Yes I have it. It is a disappointment, being largely synthesized, and therefore a wasted opportunity. It's also not much longer than one CD in length. For some reason it includes the Thunderbirds theme also but the most interesting inclusion is the Japanese version of the UFO main title, complete with Japanese narration!
As I assume it was produced to fill the need for a UFO release in Japan, where the series is something of a cult, the new Fanderson disc could encourage a lot of new members from those parts!
