Dear Forummers,
Doug Pelton here for the first time in such an august setting, hence this is my pilot episode so no title LOL;).
Used to be founding member of the Century 21-APA 1989-2001 so I'm used to this give and take thing.
Awaiting FAB70 as with all recent FABs with my little reporting bits inside various features or FABmail
I also say hello from POINT 783 General Cope who's my 1997-present living room-mate as well as the Scarlet Era multi-use
flight helmet, painted as such for Mervin Brand from THE LAUNCHING.
I also have the splendid Mike Adamson F-116 replica on living room display.
I also own around 900 Doug Luke studio transparencies many of which serve as big books content in Jap and UK reference books including Alan Shubrook's 2007 hardie.
I also prefer the Century 21 Productions later superm, early live-action stuff. The last three SuperM series of which Stephen La Riviere seems to have lost interest throughout his
book.
Well I must go and hopefully I'll hear from people who may live over here in the Toronto area and those older Fandersonians fallen by my wayside.
I remain
Supermarionationally Yours

Doug Pelton

Dear Mr. Jim,
Collecting Doug Lukes shot 2 1/4s started early in the summer of 78,when at Creation founder's NYC trekcon, I ran into area dealer Tom Rogers who found out about my growing Anderson rep, through The Creation honcho Adam Malin's superM articles being run at that time in TREK MONTHLY Times. So he showed me my first ever one of Captain Blue and the Hotspot Control Room dude disguised as Sam Loover bracing themselves on the control panel. From NOOSE OF ICE.
Late in 78 Tom and I entered into a dealer-customer thing. Since I kinda knew what I would fall in love with Tom sent me a letter outlining the range of subjects covered-under hardware and character categories.
And be they civilian, space, military, behind the scenes..until the very early 80s this form of information was the bassis of my earliest ordering. Through a chunk of the early and late 80s I'd fly down stay in western Connecticut with area UFO/SCARLET SuperFan Jim Main. We'd take a day to get to Tom's place on train and subway to Tom's place in residential Brooklyn and pour through his extensive tranny files and sock away the GOOD ONES to piece meal order throughout the following year..
An Annual Anderson ritual with sprinkling of some throughout this period from those of Pam Barnes and Phil Rae....right up to this Century, watching as the Master Binder got bigger and bigger.
They've found happy homes in the 1993 JapSuperHardCover with the pink cover of Lady P,plus most-recently the Alan Shubrook book from '07.
I have dozens that found their way on Slow Dazzle calendars, numerous TV21 covers, annual layouts, novelisation covers,ITC series promotional brochures, that sort of thing. Of the 800 or so a good half are from JOE 90, around 180 from SCARLET, around a 100 from SERVICE, a dozen or so from Thunderbirds series and the two MGM FFilms,47 from UFO, one each from XL5 and STINGRAY plus two from Doppelganger.I also have a few colour negatives shot during Scarlet like specification picture shots of the A42 Helicopter and the Cloudbase master sized "miniature" placed flat against the studio wall flight deck facing the lense.
Tom also sold me a set of 57 black and white 2 1/4 negatives from 90 and SERVICE a good number overlapping from similiar ones in colour and a bunch from SERVICE I want in colour!!!
I started a fesh headcount earlier in the year and dhave since transferred a ton of these things to acid-free,storage pages which house 12 per page.
The original pages had frosted backing for better viewing against a light source but over the years has faded too many of the 1980s acquisitions....
I'd love to layout a hypothetical 45th Anniversary SCARLET 2012 SLow Dazzle Calendar. Half main picture character and hardware scenes alternating the same way with the lower photos strip.....So come on Slow Dazzle-BITE ME!
Of course collecting on the C21 series was easy no competiton at all, like 1980s whoever heard of Joe 90 or Secret Service in the States??? So.....
I'd love to find out about Douggie Luke if this genius of history-capture is still around and what his working day was like,so
Thanks for the query this would be a good FAB or Andersonic length response.
Back to all you
P.S. a good amount of the colour twosies made life-long-lasting ciba-Iolford-chrome prints..sharp as a tack..I ahd one of the TVR-17 blown up to 11x17, as well as an 8 x 14 incher of the SKR4,plus a similiar one of Joe's VG104 WAF Bomber in deep dive highlighted on TV21#221-a.k.a 'CRASH DIVE"......and one 11 x 17 of the W.I.N helijet above a groundede baddies' hovertruck desert road scene from Viva Cordova, and,and...don't go away!!!!....a similiar blow up of
the WIN helijet like the one that got featured in Colonel McClaine, arriving left to the jungle boathouse from THE FORTRESS....yum,yum,,,,Mike Trim abounds

Dear Virgil,
Saying no to Fanderson Forum is
a) like turning down a chance to meet Mike Trim for the first time
b)raiding the Granada Ventures' ITC-inherited 2 1/4s files and told to "have fun...!"
c) giving up chocolate
d) back in 1969 saying no on the UFO set to Stephanie Beacham...
e) all of the above

Wow Doug, sounds like you had to search everywhere where you could at the time. Like you, I remember meeting other collectors, going to movie fairs etc before the internet came along. Its good you have made a business out of your collection too. I'd love to see it all one day :-)

Dear Mr. J!M,
Been a blast of a dady all round discovered way outta-sites via the Club Links. Two under the Images banner. REX Features which has maybe, all or most of my Scarlet 2 1/4s for sure with original crop lines. I'd love to sometime go through this Monster repository and inventory(Hey such rhyming!) mine from I wouldn't mind some of these newbies.
Also during the day I ran into the one page behind the Thunderbirds/Stringray scenes sight then FAB70 came two hours ago.
I'm hovering directly above the EXPO Tower.
A few of my trannies adorn a page or so here and there throughout 70,principally in the Wingrove and Midas Touch sections. Even have on master photo pages 22-23 the original 35mm slide. I have a couppla hundred er so of these scattered in a smaller binder.I also have over a hundred ITC issue 90 b/w stills bearing the same episode and scene number combo like for example A13/13 the OTC rocket veering fataly of trajectory. I have it as the b/wd neg and colour positive and the id # carries over to the glued-on ITC identification label on the back of the black and white..
So there, another bleeding lecture from the Transparency Professor..Hear from you and others with deep joy...God Bless Forum's BISHOP I just found the "other 12" In addition to Errand Of mercy I am humbled by the Aquatank screen grabs

Doug out!

Hey there Monsieur Engale
Y'er FABsolutely right about seeing that at the time in yer environs..Loh those 24 SIG-years ago...I see how ya look these days in FAB70...still tall, getting greyer like me. My 'stache 'n' burns are as White as Peter Dyneley's,but I've shrunk an inch and am down to around 11 or 12 stone.....I have Mike Trimian hairline,glasses...
Say how are you Captain Blackpoolians doin'? And the Wee One Mr. Rae....tell him I love the Rex Features site off the Club Links-Images click ons....I have some they don't and vice versa....haven't had this much of a Phil-ian 2 1/4-ish sugar-rush since Phil and family visited me old flat middle of 95 and left me with a Pod Load of his 90 trannies....
Hope to continue to groove online again after a 7 year viruses banishment to libraries and cheap rate lounge..
And,Hey,whatever 'appened to Brendan J. Sheehan yer Bodie or Doyle?? Ralph Titterton?

Okay then, I guess my early responses, threads, whatever are hitting the right spots. Like I'm blending in just fine. You agree? I hope I'm not too enthusiastic, but our Fandersonian World does that to me..especially this week, after FAB70,Rex Features,BISHOPVILLE reviews site,is there a similiar review site for Joe 90 I haven't stumbled on to??
Into the Quick Reply Case you go,Matthew
