The Pathfinders

I have been watching the 1972 Second World War TV series The Pathfinders and have seen Tony Barwick's name coming up for one of the teleplays and resident cameraman on the series is Harry Oakes. Not a bad series although it only ran for 12 episodes and could have done with being made in 35mm.

Pathfinders (no The)! Not a bad little series, if a little grotty looking. I did find it a bit unfocused though as there were very few characters beyond the commander and medical officer who featured throughout the series - so there was little chance to get to know your heroes. 13 episodes in total. More importantly from an Anderson perspective, Christopher Penfold was script editor on this, when Gerry approached him to develop (what was then) UFO mk2 - and ultimately led to his work on Space: 1999.
