I'm a bit surprised theres very little mention of this show.

"Interster" was an Anderson inspired South African puppet show, created in the late 70's. As well as an answer to failing to get the rights to dub "Thunderbirds"

There's a comprehensive(ish) feature in a recent edition of a well-known Anderson-based fanzine that rhymes with 'Fandersonic'...

I'll give you that...

...created in the late 70's.

Wrong!

As well as an answer to failing to get the rights to dub "Thunderbirds"

Wrong!

Look, just buy the issue, okay.

You'll learn a lot more than from that largely inaccurate Wikipedia feature!

;)

I meant little mention on this forum thus far

Can't, for two reasons.

1. I live in the US
2. I'm flat out broke, so even if I wanted to wait for shipping; I can't

So those reasons being said, I'm just waiting until some bootlegger or some ignorant slouch puts a scan of that cerain review.
I myself know that the wikipedia entry is a lie, at the point where it said the characters were depicted as black protaganist's I realized it. Obviously Buks de le Ray, Lida, Lt Buys .etc aren't black (which I admit is a bit unusual for an African series...). As well as the helper aliens being canned as 10cm on there.

Needless to say, it needs a major revamp on some aspects

I would hope no-one sinks to the level of bootlegging a fan mag that's still available, slouch or not.
