My first clear memories of actually watching Gerry's programmes for the first time, would be Fireball XL5 in early 1963. This would be along with repeats of Supercar.
Ah! Those happy simple days, 2 channels, 405 lines and B & W. :)

It may have been Stingray as I have vague memories of seeing it sometime in the 80's. Stingray shooting out of the ocean door in particular was familiar. Otherwise it was Thunderbirds, but only in the 1991-2 re-runs. Remember seeing it on the front cover of Radio Times and being very curious and asking my mum what this was about. After watching 'Trapped in the Sky' I was hooked like a lot of other people I'm sure. Such a great episode!!!!!!!!!

Thunderbirds in the 90s, I was 8 I think, then Stingray and Captain scarlet and Joe 90.
didnt see UFO until it was on Bravo I think? Thunderbirds was also shown again on Bravo in the 90s.
I remember making my dad laugh when I was reading outloud a preview when Stingray was about to be shown for the first time.
Something along the lines of "the evil Tit-an"
when he stopped lauging he said no "tite-an"

Although I lived in the ATV region and gots lots of Anderson programs the first one I can definitely remember seeing was Fireball XL5. This must of been a repeat run in the late 60s? I am pretty sure it was on a Wednesday afternoon following Piny & Perky!

I could be wrong here but i think my 1st Anderson Series was Thunderbirds, I can remember seeing The HOOD and the pool opening, that must of been in the late 90's (It was a recording of when it was on in 1991 & 1992) and I've always liked it from then on

Seeing Joe 90 for the first time in September 1968. Of course most of the earlier shows were likely as not being repeated in my area (ATV) so I've lots of memories of these great shows as a 7 year old!:)

Mine was Fireball XL5. I remember watching that when I was about four. That show started me on my love for Robots. Lost in Space continued it and turned it into my hobby now. But I loved XL5 and still do...it was my first DVD set of Anderson shows I bought. I never saw Thunderbirds as a kid, but I picked up the DVD set recently and absolutely love that show, and it has become my favorite, but XL5 was my first.http://www.fanderson.org.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=35&d=1253369145

I remember my first Gerry Anderson series was the original THUNDERBIRDS in 1969 at age 5.:)
Then I experienced the original CAPTAIN SCARLET & THE MYSTERONS in 1971.
Next it would be first-run debut of UFO in 1972.
Finally, the best for last....SPACE:1999 in 1975.

One of the Gerry Anderson shows I remember as a nipper and still love watching to this day.:D

I saw some episodes of UFO in the early 70's but the series I really 'got in to" was Space: 1999.

I vaguely recall watching Twizzle because we knew what twizzling your legs meant.
One of my best memories was that one Christmas morning they showed an episode of Supercar, immediately followed by Fireball, then by Stingray and ending with Thunderbirds.
I am pretty sure the Thunderbirds episode was "Give or Take a Million" so it must have been 25th December 1966.
It couldn't have been a repeat because Gerry sold the rights to Thunderbirds thinking it would only ever be broadcast once!

My first Anderson show was actually Terrahawks in the early 80's on Granada TV. I only realised it was a Gerry Anderson series many years later when i saw it on video - it all came back to me! Remembering how scary Zelda was, and how cool those robot heads (Zeriods?) were. I must have only been around 3 or 4 years old.
Next, it was Thunderbirds in 1991 when it aired on BBC2. The first episode i saw was on a Sunday lunchtime whilst at my grandparents (I think it was Desperate Intruder) and just being absolutely blown away at how cool it was. Then there was the runs of Stingray and Captain Scarlet, followed by Joe 90 very early on Saturday mornings!
Those were good days - i couldnt get enough. I had to economise on video tapes, as i had a very limited pocket money budget that also had to pay for Thunderbirds comic, and all the spin offs. I used to record on Long Play, so i could squeeze about 14 episodes onto one tape! I remember being infuriated when BBC2 didnt show some episodes, or pulled them for some reason in my area to be replaced with 'regional programming' - lol.

That must have been some Christmas present seeing four classic Gerry Anderson shows one after the other and to see Give Or Take A Million actually on its initial transmission date.
Wow!:D

The most infamous pulling of a episode has to be when they pulled the Scarlet episode 'Winged Assassin' a couple of days after 9/11.

I can just about remember seeing Torchy and Twizzle when they were originally transmitted, although I can clearly remember Four Feather Falls and every series after with little or no problem
First colour Gerry Anderson series I saw was UFO.

My first show was Fireball XL5 in '63 (I was born in '60 so just too young to remember the 1st run of Supercar) though I remember one Christmas in, I think 1964, we were treated to a triple bill of "Supercar, Fireball and Stingray" and that was how it was advertised on London ITV.:)

I have a few shadowy memories of the Thunderbirds in reruns in the early 70s from when I lived (briefly) in the UK, but my first clear memories are of UFO and S99 being aired back to back during the heyday of S99's first run ~ 1975 in the States. Never did figure out the entire purple wig thing until I got the DVDs about 5 years ago.
