Everyone has that favourite piece of merchandise from Gerry's programmes. Being a collector of the printed matter, i remember buying many copies of the below Letraset Super Action Heroes transfers as a teenager.

Also here is the quite rare Captain Scarlet transfer set. I have never come across an unused set yet! :(

Hello Bob,
I love the Captain Scarlet transfer set!
My favourite piece of merchandise is a powder blue Dinky 108 (Sam's car from Joe 90).

I think powder blue was the rarest colour even though it looks like it has been painted using household emulsion paint. :)

Those transfer sheets are quite cool, I don't recall seeing those before.
I do remember some WW1 & WW2 ones though, featuring tanks and infantry and the other featuring aircraft.

I really love all the new diecast models being put out, and at reasonable prices. It seems that in the past, this kind of stuff came out and was sold for an unreasonable price. But the new ones are nicely detailed, durable, and affordable. But recently, at the last Botstock, I picked up a complet Stingray motorized model for only seven dollars. I still haven't decided if I will assemble it or not...I just might, but it was a find.

As a kid I loved my Dinky Eagle

I had the Mattel Eagle and while It was certainly ambitious and on paper appeared to be a dream come true, I was a bit dissapointed with it.

The figures were probably the deal breaker as they were not what I visualized. The guns and space suits did not fit well onto the figures.

Wished they were more what was probably originally planned

You have stated exactly how I felt as a 12 year old boy in 1975 and beyond getting these toys.
I only got the Spacesuit wearing Koenig, Bergman Helena that came with the Mattel EAGLE...I never got the uniform wearing versions of Koenig, Bergman Helena....were they better in design? I always thought Mattel should have made the SPACE:1999 figures like the more detailed & functional STAR WARS figures in 1977...They should have done Alan Carter the Eagle Pilot!

I may be wrong but they may have never done the other costumes as detailed in that final photo of my original post. Either they are prototypes or an exclusive with a particular store. My figures were Koenig, Russell and Bergman in space suits.
Years later I collected the Palitoy figures and more recently bought all of those other Space: 1999 Mego type figures and would have loved to have those as a kid. Instead in the united States we got the Mattel figures which lacked accuracy.

It is a shame if they never produced the uniformed Mattel Koenig, Helena & Bergman for the Mattel EAGLE that is pictured in that advertisement.
