As an experiment, I have listed William Lathams "Eternity unbound" on EBay. I have the other books in this series for sale, and before I list them on EBay, is there anyone out there in Fandersonland who would like to offer me a price for the other books?
Please contact me on ufo_warminster@yahoo.co.uk
Again, I stress that this is a genuine sale, for personal reasons.
Thanks,
Kevin

These books are still available, so I wouldn't be expect that you will be making any great profits from selling them (unless ebayer's don't know they're available elsewhere...)

Ah, but Simon, I'm not after making a profit, as my other listings here on the forum are basically, just a way to boost my very poor finances!
I'm a long term member of Fanderson, and would like some of these items to go to a good home, rather than dealers, who will sell items for a profit!
As I have said, there are genuine reasons for me selling these items.
I'm gutted about parting with some of these gems, but, I need to keep paying my rent.
Such is life, eh?

Hi ufokev, its a crying shame that you are having to sell off parts of your collection. I currently not working after being in the same job for 26 years!
Hope things ease up for you real soon, and if i win the lottery tomorrow night, i'll pay your rent for a year.
keep smiling. :)

Awww, thanks Bob! The truth is, my wife died a few years ago, and now, with just one wage coming in, its damn hard to make ends meet.
So, these items just have to go...
Being out of a job after 26 years must be bloody awful, and if its any consolatation, I know what it feels like!
Again, thanks.
Kev

From what I surmise of Powysmedia, it is defunct. Can't get any answers back from e-mails to Mateo. Couldn't even get the order page to load. Resurection is no longer listed for sale on the site and is listed on the American amazon site from a third party seller for $90. Anyone else have any info. about the powys season three books? Will they be released? Or the Prisoner series of books?

I do suspect that Powys is no longer functioning, as while I was working in a science fiction bookshop in Reading, part of my section was Anderson related. We did stock the books for a while in 2007/8 but when the second batch was sold out, try as it might, I could not reorder. Emails were not answered, so as I say, looks like Powys is no more.
Sad, but a fact of life I guess...

Egads, but I hope not. There is an audio book that was read by Barry Morse that I'd dearly love to get my hands on. It is a very tiny operation, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that Mateo will one day be able to get things up and running again.

Mateo has had to contend with illness and family problems over the past several months. The plan was definitely to get at least one more book out - William Latham and David McIntee were paid for their books which have yet to see print - and I understand that Mateo not long ago paid out quite a large sum to renew his 'publisher's liability insurance' so I wouldn't say for sure that Powys Media is dead yet.
The problem is this. We're in a recession and money is tight. The world isn't queuing up to buy either Space:1999 or Prisoner novels (no matter how much we'd like to think there is a large market out there, there actually isn't). I believe I'm right in saying that the books so far published have sold ok - but they don't sell out overnight, or anything like that.
Mateo has pumped a lot of his own money into these books before he has actually seen any profit (the license itself is not cheap) and I'd guess he doesn't have the money to do that any more. I would think that another book may well come eventually, but I'd suspect that the plans which were originally hatched are probably now somewhat ambitious.

thanks for the updates guys. Hope all goes well for Mateo and we will someday be able to see a release for this material.
