About to start a 3D model of cloudbase to satisfy a weird urge.
Does anyone have any referances for the Underside, it would be appreciated?

So far, I have not found anything on the internet or in my own library.
You might want to do the obvious...reviewing all episodes of the original CAPTAIN SCARLET & THE MYSTERONS for the ventral underside of Spectrum Cloudbase.

im afraid theres only a side on shot from attack on cloudbase, and a section of the unterside seen in the trap, the comics dont seem to have much either.

Hi Chris
There is a good photograph of the underside of Cloudbase in the legendary Japanese 'Pink' book that came out in the 90s. It may also have been reprinted in a more recent Century 21 Supermarionation volume based on the book. Excellent sources of reference if you can find them.

Yes there is a large colour photo of the underside of Cloudbase in the Century 21 Supermarionation book. This book covers just Scarlet, Joe 90 and Secret Service. As soon as i can get a scan of it done, i will post it here.

Class! thanks i really appreciate it :)
I figured it would be cool to make it as accurate as possible. The model seems to change between shots in the series especcially in attack on cloudbase and the comics.

I was going to suggest looking at my Cloudbase Playset from Vivid Imaginations from 1993, but you'd probably laugh at me. lol
I always found it interesting to note the use of different models in different shots. The sheer number of obvious inconsistencies between the different models of Thunderbird 1, for example, always amused me. They must have had five or six models, all completely different in some way!

Well Its good for some detailing but unfortunitly like the imai verson isnt very accurate.
I know what you mean about the models watching the TAG and TB6 thunderbirds models and the series models they are quite different (personally the series ones look better in my opinion)
Heres the progress at the moment, figuring out the landing markings are a nightmare but are coming along, feel free to post any critisams :)

Its only partly simply 3d, all the shapes where S3D i then saved them as VRMLs and loaded them into vue where i can texture boocelean and all that jazz.
I do have an old Simply 3d model i made in 2003, a pic of it is below.
Also below is how im leaving cloudbase tonight, cant figure if it looks right like if its too wide or not or the towers too big, (The towers and underside details are a temporary place holder and the spectrafan is missing).

I think it could be that the "bridge" is slightly undersize which is why you think the flight deck looks too wide, but I could be wrong.
The fiirst time a saw a photo of the original model I was surprised how large it was in comparison to other models on Gerry's shows. I've always liked it as a design, its a real shame that it didnt survive, but given the size who would have had room for it.

*facepalm* Im a tootie, after all this time of working from freeze frames i had 2 perfectly decent referance photos in a book n a shelf.
Sage is right, the C&C (using aircraft carrier terms) is too small. The whole thing is longer than i thought which iswhy it looks wide. I have corrected the model appropriatly :)
For all who like behind the scenes pics V

Ive never done a 3d model of the angels before so it seems like a cool project, probs wont take as long either.
Im mainly building this model so i can do several images and possibly in the future do a captain scarlet vid similar to my Fireball XL5 tribute.
Heres where sh's at now with mood lightng :), Needs more detailing, logos and most of an underside.

Its really cool having the model, it kind of lets me see her in a new light. You never really got a chance to appreciate her as an aircraft carrier, she always seemed like a fixed base, the comics showed her in a better light i think.
